I help teams make sense of complex products, systems, and decisions.
I help teams make sense of complex products, systems, and decisions.
I’m Denise Andrews, a principal-level product and experience strategist. I help organizations turn vague business asks into clearer problem spaces, stronger customer-facing product direction, and a more grounded perspective on where AI belongs—and where it doesn’t.
For most of my career, I’ve been in the thick of complexity—alongside teams striving to modernize products, align stakeholders, and make tough calls when the pressure is on. I believe in reducing friction and confusion, not just for customers, but for everyone involved. My approach brings transparency and humility to even the most complicated challenges, sitting at the intersection of product direction, systems thinking, customer experience, and strategic clarity.
I’ve had the privilege of working across fintech, enterprise platforms, connected products, and customer-facing ecosystems at organizations like Vanguard, Capital One, Fidelity, State Farm, and SiriusXM. I’m at my best when the work is messy, the stakes are high, and the path forward isn’t obvious—because that’s when authenticity, empathy, and honest guidance matter most.
There are two ways to work with me, depending on what you need right now: bring me in as a strategic leader inside your organization, or engage me through my consulting practice for focused strategic support.
I help teams:
Clarify the real problem when the brief is still vague.
Map the system around the experience, not just the screen.
Align business, product, and technology stakeholders around a sharper direction.
Shape customer-facing workflows and journeys that are more coherent, useful, and resilient.
Use AI practically, as a tool for discovery, synthesis, and decision support rather than empty theater.
Writing is where I share how I think: essays, field notes, case reflections, and practical perspectives on strategy, systems, leadership, and the realities of modern product work. This is the best place to get a feel for my voice, my point of view, and the kinds of questions I care about.
My case studies are not here to show polished artifacts. They are here to show how I think, where I created value, and how I helped teams move from complexity to clarity. Current and upcoming stories will focus on strategic framing, decision-making, customer-facing outcomes, and the systems behind the work.
